Hey everyone! I hope ya’ll had an amazing and wonderful long weekend?! I did. Friday was the birthday of my future brother-in-law and he decided to have a barbecue. The weather was just amazing that day so we spent all day and night outside, eating and drinking wine.  Since I absolutely love, love, love organizing stuff, I was so excited to prepare everything for the evening. It also meant that we had to whip the yard into shape! So first: mowing the lawn and sweeping.
Afterwards, I could finally start with the real fun work: decorating! Oh my, I absolutely love that!
I only used things we had in the backyard shed which were two lilac tablecloths, a few plates and bowls, cutlery and cups.
I also found some glasses which I turned into vases and candleholder and put one of each on both ends of the table. Is there anything better than fresh flowers on the table?!

Luckily, I even found an old radio which still worked! Yay!
My fiancé and I have finished and set up everything, it was almost 4pm and the gang should slowly arrive… 45 minutes and half a wine bottle later, my brother and his girlfriend finally arrived and a few minutes later the rest has made it!

Everyone brought something so at the end with had pretty much everything, from guacamole to salt & pepper.

While the boys were doing the barbecue, we hung up a chain of lights on a tree right above the table. It looked really cute at night.

Later on, we made a bonfire, played „activity“ on our picnic blanket and had some more wine. It was hilarious and it’s definitely one of the best group games ever! I bought the app on my iPad, that way we can play wherever we want.

Since it was a very successful and fun evening, I thought I’d share a whole list with all the things you need for an amazing barbecue with your friends and family!
